Code Club 4 Teachers

Let us help you get ready for the new Digital Curriculum

Code Club 4 Teachers supports teachers through fun, hands-on learning to grow in confidence and get ready to teach the new Digital Technologies curriculum.

Code Club Aotearoa have partnered with Kiatakatū ā-Mathiko, the National Digital Readiness Programme, which was launched to support the new Digital Tech curriculum that schools are expected to integrate by the start of 2020. Code Club 4 Teachers (CC4T) will be taken nationwide over the next three years.

What does CC4T involve?

Four, 90 minute workshops over a term! The workshops are themed and cover how to integrate programming projects and computational thinking (CS unplugged) activities into fun hands-on sessions in the classroom. The workshops also give teachers the opportunity to work together and explore ways to weave Digital Tech across all curriculum areas. CC4T workshops are led and supported by regional digital leaders who, as well as running the workshops, will help build connected communities of learners across Aotearoa.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost involved with joining or participating in CC4T workshops.

How do I get involved?

We encourage all teachers no matter what level of expertise to come along and join the fun. You will be able to learn and extend your knowledge of both the new Digital Technologies content, as well as ways to implement key learning across all curriculum areas.

To get involved in an up and coming CC4T near you, visit Kiatakatū, sign up, and then head along to a local meetup. You are able to register to attend via the meetup link to your area.
